Before you start out playing handball, brush up on the basics, including the dimensions of the court and the ball used. The handball court — measures 40m x 20m (131.25ft x 65.62ft). Handball games are thirty minutes long. Each game consists of two periods, each of which are 15 minutes long. Between the two periods is a half time which lasts about 15 minutes. After half time, the two teams switch sides of the court. They also switch benches, which is different from similar sports such as soccer and hockey.
